Journal of Education Finance



The Journal of Education Finance is the primary academic outlet of the National Education Finance Academy. Distributed by the University of Illinois Press and Johns Hopkins University Press, Project MUSE, the Journal of Education Finance (JEF) is a blind review scholarly journal committed to the dissemination of studies pertaining to the field of education finance and economics. The Journal is published quarterly: summer, fall, winter and spring. It was founded in 1973 as an initiative of the National Educational Finance Project (NEFP) of 1968 funded by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, Public Law 89-10, Title V. The NEFP and the Journal were originally located at the University of Florida, in cooperation with the University of California, Berkeley; University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; University of Chicago; UCLA; and Columbia University. Articles published in the Journal of Education Finance have throughout the years served as influential sources of ideas instrumental to the innovation and improvement in education funding throughout the fifty states.
